The
crisis is thought to be over and the summer surge that follows the
arrival of the warmer weather is upon us. We are selling
property fast! Some terrific bargains have been snapped up
over the past few weeks, however there are still lots left for anyone
who is ready.
The properties recently sold have been mostly to young french couples
who are taking advantage of the various low rate mortgages available
(one recent example - fixed at 3.8% for 15 years) and to investors who
see property as a better place for their money now that those same low
interest rates have diminished the return on their money. We also have
people who live in Paris buying second homes here to enjoy pure air
and peaceful, lovely countryside during their weekends away from town.
There have been some English customers buying lately and we expect to
see many more now that the pound is getting stronger.
